Facts about Biosand
Corn size
0-3 mm (therefore the rifts have to be at least 3 mm wide),
which are used for coblestones.
Rift depth.
Biosand is swept into the rift with a depth of 2-2½ cm for areas with a
light traffic, and 4 cm for heavy traffic.
Heating
After Biosand has been laid out it has to be heated up to about 120
degrees centigrade, and after a few minutes the sand will become hard.
The heating should be used with a special heater and not with open fire.
Weight of Biosand:
1500 kg/m3
Consumption guide:
For grouting of coblestones, with a rift depth of 3 cm

Frost / defrost:
Biosand is flexible and therefore it can work in frost and defrost weather,
and hence no cracks.
Curing time:
Biosand must not be mixed with hardener, or otherwise to be ready to use.
Areas with newly laid Biosand can be used immediately after it has cooled.
(Completely optimal strength is achieved only after 2-3 days after cooling).
Leaching::
Biosand will not be washed out in heavy rain grooves or roof drip or the like.
Sweeping / suction machines:
Biosand is not vulnerable to the sweeping and suction machines.
Ecological: Biosand is completely environmentally correct, both in
terms of production, construction, saving of pesticides and gas and possibly
decomposition.
